Will they send it to you and how exactly do you end up paying for what you order?
For exacmple:
I ordered something online and my pay options were credit card or by email...
I chose email and then a page with "my receipt" came up?
What does this mean?

Well, I would venture to say that you may have been duped. Usually when you order from a reputable company via the internet, you would be able to pay by credit card, paypal, cashier's check, money order, bank wire transfer or over the phone. I have never seen an instance where you could pay via email. If you gave your name and credit card via email, the transaction isn't secured and the site may have been a fake site. It's sounds like a phishing scam.

Check out these sites for info:

Hopefully that is not the case here, but you may want to alert your credit card company just in case.

Just attach the money to an email and send it along.
Don't hold your breath while you're waiting for that package to arrive. With the holidays it may take it a long time to arrive.

as far as i know it may be safer to go the regular way. Who know who or where the person that is reading the email is or if it stored on the computer with you private information. as far as i know email people with private information is a BIG no no, since they can file it and use it latter date.
