credit card. The reason i asked was because i want to buy a few things over the net but they only want credit card users. I have a debit card but this isn't much help. If e-bay and amazon had or have physical shops where a person could just walk in and buy what they see would be good but i don't know if they exist in the UK. Do you think the banks could help.

I'll never have a credit card again, I got into some real trouble with them. But I still use a Debit Card without any problems on the net. Maybe try a different bank with a Debit Card see if that makes any difference.

The only benefit of having a credit card is that transactions over £100 are insured if you pay by credit card, if the company goes bust and you have not got your goods, then the card company will give you your money back. That said I don't have 1. But the choice has to be yours.

You may look for businesses in your area which can help. I live in a small town and there are a couple places which offers eBay services. You can go there and have them sell your items for you or you can tell them what you want and what your limit is and they will keep watch of the item and make sure you get the winning bid as long as it is within your limit.
