It seems that more and more people are working 6 days a week, college edu. or not. It is becoming the norm for many people.
I quit my last job where YES we worked Saturdays. I even worked Sundays, my days off were Wed. and Thur. I know you feel like you are the only one getting up to go to work on a Sat. but trust me your not.

I used to be in an occupation in which you were gone for months at a time, there was no such thing as a holiday,or your birthday(or anyone else's birthday)but that's what i SIGNED UP for! I loved my occupation, and i love my occupation currently, where, yes,i do have to work some wknds. It's all a mental thing, american's expect to have wknds off because they are spoiled little children! I know of a lady who worked on a cruise ship, she worked 2 MONTHS straight with NO TIME OFF! At the end of those two months she got a month off at whatever port in the world they happened to be stationed at! Your life could be A LOT WORSE! It's not a matter of working wknds,it's a matter of finding the job YOU LOVE,if you love your job,you wont mind AT ALL working some wknds!

I work on Saturdays and Sundays all the time. Most of my work has to be done when nobody else is working.

Never.

I always said I went to college so I would not have to work evenings or weekends and I would be able to afford to heat and cool my house to a comfortable temperature year round. Heat stays at 72 and air stays at 68.
