Hello!
How many of you currently have or have had a job as a waitress? I am looking to get a job fast & I know if a few local places that are hiring waitresses. They are family-oriented places, nothing fancy. Average meal runs $8-$15. What is the work like? What should I expect in tips? I've never worked as a waitress outside of the home (I have a husband and two kids...so I know what it is like to wait on people!) I appreciate all of your answers!

I am currently unemployed and looking for a new job. What I am wondering is how much can potential future employers ask of my former employer(s). What types of questions are they allowed to ask? What can they not ask? Can they ask how much I was making? Can they ask about my strengths/weaknesses? Are they simply allowed to ask if I really worked there? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

i worked with a company for 5 years nursing, prior to my current 2 year hospital career. i recently found out that the human resource manager gave me a bad reference. she hated me, however, on my employee evaluations, i did exellent and my supervisor loved me and suggested a raise. i feel i look like a fool. my current supervisor laughs, but, i know she had to have reservations about hiring me. i want to contact the administrator and tell him what the human resource manager did. what do u think?

I signed papers with a real estate agent when i sent an offer in to buy a house. I am not happy with his service. I wanted to put an offer in with a different agent , she told me that I can only deal with the agent I signed papers with. Is there any way for me to drop the first agent and work with a new one?

I work in a pharmaceutical company but each passing day I have this feeling that I am wasting time working for others. I am hardworking and I need a personal business challenge. It does not necessarily have to be a chemical business. A business that will grow if I manage it well is what I desire.
