Wouldn't you just love to turn up at work in your jammies and slippers? I mean fleecy pyjamas by the way, not baby dolls!

while in college I got pregnant and had a baby I manage to struggle and finish with the help of my ma. I got an internship and the lady was a racist and didnt like me so she made up things and said that i wasnt prepared for my field and i was let go from my internship and graduation was pushed back. I had to wait another semester to complete a whole new intership in which I sucessfully completed then I graduated. then i got a job and my boss hated me, he intentionally singled me out and let it known to my co workers that he intentionally bullied me and gave me a hard time but i stuck it out. It was an at will employment so i couldnt file anything. I got fired after a few yrs I found a new job in a new city and it was a lot better, but I had to leave it because my ma got sick and I choose to help her being that Im an only child and shes not married. Well shes better now and my job that was being held is no longer available to me and when I askd my boss to speak on my behalfto her boss

I went on an interview Tuesday, which went very well. The gentlemen who interviewed me said he was not authorized to hire me on the spot (though he made it clear he wanted to), he had to go over it with his boss (who may require a second interview, though he didn't think it would be necessary in my case). Then he stated that he was essentially "offering me the position, without REALLY offering it"
Ok so my question is, he said I would be hearing back from them in a day or two, (it's "technically been over 48 hours now) but I haven't heard anything yet. In the meantime I have been offered two other jobs with different companies. I need to give them both an answer as to whether I intend to take those positions or not sometime today. My problem is I REALLY want this other job more than the two I've been contacted by. So would it ruin my chances of getting the job if I call and ask if they had made a decesion yet?

a friend to a fancy new restaurant that my boss really wants to try. So, when I returned she asked how it was and I gave a review of everything I ate, including the glass of wine I had. She look annoyed and, in front of two co-workers, said that if I drank at lunch again (this is the 1st time I've ever left the office for lunch at this job in a year) I shouldn't come back to work in the afternoon. Now I feel mildly humiliated. I know my boss has been a recovering alcoholic for years, but can she really forbid me from working after ONE glass of charnonney? I do sometimes have to meet with clients in the afternoon, but not today. Am I overreacting, or is she?

if in the districts employee handbook cell phones are allowed as long as it does not disturbe or disrupt the students or your duty. well for me (bus-driver) i was told that means not while driving or if any students are on the bus. now during our wait time we are allowed to sit inside the schools. well the other day i was told by the front desk lady that i was not allowed to use my phone due to the policies. (now mind you i was in the cafetiria by myself)
i have never had a problem in any other school. can each school inside the district set different rules if they wanted to or do they have to be compatiable with the districts policies???????. a later disscusion with the prinical, she had said it was in her staff handbook. BUT if thats true im not her staff, im an employee of the district. (i did respect the "rule" and went outside) can a school also ban a visitor from using a cell phone in the school?????

So I was hired onto this company that is suppose to be training me, however, all i've been doing is sitting in my office all alone and reading a book. I am getting my first paycheck, and it's been me reading the entire time, and not learning how to do my job. I am getting tired of just reading and want to tell my boss. But she is never in the office. What should I do?

I found this information on The Appraisal Foundation website, but it doesn't explain the real differences between

- Licensed Residential (2,000 hrs)
- Certified Residential (2,500 hrs)
- Certified General (3,000 hrs)

If I'm a Licensed Residential Appraiser, how does that differ (aside from the hours) from being a Certified General Appraiser? Thank you.
