i am 63 and having a hard time finding part time employment. i would like to work 10 to 15 hours a week. i am willing to work for about 10.00/per hour. i have a back ground in non profits. but, i am totally open. i am very reliable. in 20 years never late once and missed very little. but, no one wants to hire seniors. any suggestions.

we are subcontracted painters for a company that builds modular homes....the steps leading into the building collapsed and i sprained my knee...i was told by my employer not to go after the company bcuz we would lose the contract.........

My problem is work related. Right now my coworkers are in a meeting about new student orientation. I work at a community college and I am the presenter at orientation. However, i was not invited to the.meeting I feel left out. I'm part time and treated like a second class citizen. I have no phone, no desk, no email. however, I'm a college graduate! the part time service aid (who's a student) has a cubicle. WTF!!!
but that's not the problem right now. The service aid is in a meeting about orientation that i was not invited to and the other two people who work at orientation.
I was so pissed I didn't even want to ask to go.
I feel like crying
Should I have sucked it up and asked if I could go???

My boss told me yesterday that I am next in line for a promotion for a managers position. But he said that they only way that I will receive it is if I come to his office after work and give a pedicure and other special favors. He insists that this is standard procedure for anyone seeking a managers procedure. Should I do this? Help please I really need this job

So I came home from a business trip and had no water in my house. I called the company that I rent from, and they called me today at work and said that they are turning it back on, but it was turned off becuase i didn't put the water in my name and pay for it. the same thing with the gas. Ok, i signed a contract saying that ALL untilities are paid for, and i need only pay for cable or internet if i want it. So when i pulled out my contract they said that the person who wrote up the contract was fired after i began renting and they want me to come sign a new one now stating that i must pay for everything separate! Can you believe that!? So i told them that if they refuse to negotiate price, i will be moving out. They said that I have to pay the money fpor breaking the lease. how can they hold me to a lease if the lease is void? Should i negotiate a new price to live there with or should i try to find somewhere else to live?

In the 1950s Playboy magazine, as a promotion, sold 1 share of stock for $1.00. My dad bought one just for fun. After he died my mother had it transfered to me. I just recieved in the mail two letters from the state controllers office telling me to claim it or basicly lose it. But they won't tell me it's value. The forms have to be notorized which cost money . Any advise on the value would be appreciated. Thanks
