First of all relax. Take a deep breath and think everything over. Communicaton is the key and you should communicate to your coworkers that you are part of the team and that you felt left out. This is what I would do.

Hi, I know exactly how you feel. I am a contract employee at an organization where the "regular" employees make me feel like a marginalized, invisible, second-class citizen. The work environment is really negative and whenever I try to make positive suggestions they shoot me down. I absolutely hate it and I know that these people would get away with a lot worse if I lay down and take it. I think you should bring it to their attention...or better yet to the attention of their superiors. Make it clear that you think what they did was unfair and unprofessional and express your surprise and disappointment that you were not included in the meeting. Might as well make them as uncomfortable as they are making you. oh yeah...and keep your resume updated for when something better comes along.

I myself have found a nice job where the people are awesome and the management is very conscious of their employee's feelings. There are many jobs like this. I would say to secretly look for another place to work with good pay, and if you do get that job, then you can quit your current one. That's what I did. My last job was horrible when it came to relations with other employees. They made me feel like just any other tool they can use. If you're gone, do you think they would really miss you?

Since you do have a college degree, and are part time, I think your co-workers feel threatened by you, that you may one day take over their job. They are not threatened by the part time service aid becasue he cannot replace them, but you can. It still is no excuse for such rude behaviour.

Who set up the meeting? I would have confronted that person and said since you are the presenter that you should attend so you know what is going on. Good luck

The squeaky wheel does get the grease. Life can seem mean at times..the thing about it is we only have 2 choices....change things or accept them as they are. Are you able to change the situation?

That really sucks. I don't know what you should do. Maybe when they come out, ask if you missed anything.
