My husband made an oral agreement with a friend to transform his garage into a work space, in two days time. While my husband is fully licensed and insured in NYS to operate his own construction firm, since June of this year, he was taken for a ride by a former friend, after charging a fifth of what any other contractor would charge. If payment is not received, does oral agreement stand firm? If not paid by the employer in several weeks time, can the contractor apply late fees and finance charges under Tioga County laws? Can I, as his wife, who is also covered under his insurance policy, appoint myself with my husband's permission, as personal asistant/secretary for his business? Someone please help as we are proceeding to small claims court and need some answers!

I'm seeking information on how to become a pharmacy technician. Are you certified? How did you get certified? Did you find a company to hire you entry-level with no certification? Anything I should know or consider? I'm considering a career change, but don't wish to fall for any scams...such as unnecessary schools, certifications, etc. Haven't found a whole lot of useful, detailed information available on the internet. Thanks!!

I have an interview coming up, and it's not my dream job, but it's in a competitive field and I would be glad to have it.

If I lie and tell them what they want to hear: "My ultimate goal is to work here and do whatever this job demands of me" I look like a liar and a brown-noser with no spine, which is true.

If I tell them the truth: "My goal is to use this job to save up as much money as I can to reach my ultimate goal" then I appear uncommitted and unworthy of hiring, which is true.

But I still want to be hired because I need to pay bills and it's better than most jobs. What do I do?

Self and husband leased a vehicle for four years and I was a co- lesee only. My husband died after two years and I returned the vehicle voluntarily immediately after his death. Until the time of return the payment was prompt. I explained the situation and the organisation selected the option to not to collect the balance from me. But they have not taken my name out of their file and my credit report shows as bad report. It does not allow me to get credit cards. How can I solve this issue?

Is there really such a thing as winter blend that costs cheaper, or because less people travel during the fall and winter months, gas companies follow the principles of supply and demand and start reducing their prices.

The realestate market in my city has hit an all time high. Because of this the cost of rental houses has also gone up. The market is now balancing off and slowly starting to go down again. My question is, will the cost of rental places also start to go down or now that there has been a precident set, will they stay high?
