When I found out which companies I want to invest in I came to a stop at a stockbroke option thingie after clicking "trade now".The page gave me options on which stockborker i'm goin to use.The stockbrokers were"TD Ameritrade,E trade financing,FXCM,Scottrade,and Share Builder.Which one do i take and does it matter what i choose?

You don't say how you got there, where you came from. What program are you using? Which online trading platform are you on?

Everyone uses a broker. They are the ones that hold seats on the exchanges and facilitates trade. All online brokers have cheap rates and are very similar, depending whether you're a trader or a fundamental investor needing lots of research.

You will have to open a brokerage account and deposit money before you can trade live. It is merely asking you which broker you want to use.

You are looking for the trading platform that suits you best, not necessarily the cheapest rates. Some people choose a platform because it is "easiest." I never understood that.
