please be specific and explain details. Some sayings like "invest in stock or mutual funds" are too general. they really don't help.

I recently was slammed with 10 overdraft charges of $35 each for 10 items that cleared my bank on the same day. It was my fault for overdrawing the account, of course, but I think the bank went overboard. Some of the overdrafts were for just a few dollars. I want to talk to the bank to ask them to reverse some of their fees. Looking for suggestions on how to get them to do this!

My ex husband and I bought a house together while married, and now that we're divorced and both remarried, I want my name off of the house. He said what he has researched is that the only way he can do it is by either refinancing or assuming the loan. He doesn't want to refinance because he's got a good interest rate, so he's going to look into assuming the loan. I need to push him to do it though, because he's been dragging his feet. Can someone tell me what he needs to do to assume the home loan himself (and I'm assuming his new wife)? Thank you!

Our investment properties are loaded tax wise 99% on my husband (as he is the main income earner) and 1% on me (as I have a very minmimum casual job). All has been done through a solicitor and accountant, and a friend of ours (professional) claims that if we were to be audited by the tax department we could be in alot of trouble. IS THIS TRUE?

My friend and I are going to start bartending school soon and I was just wondering if the pay is worth it. We're both in college so working the night shift as a bartender works perfectly with my school schedule. I make $400 a week at my current job and quite frankly it's not enough for college. I'm hoping that bartending consistantly makes at least $600 a week or more. Best part of all I get to meet beautiful women every day! So what do you guys think?, should I go for it?

I just moved out of a 3 bedroom apt. with one roomate, leaving 2 behind. We have found people to replace us on the lease and but the married couple living in the master br wont sign papers allowing names to be switched.
I've already started paying rent on my new place and cant afford 2 rents. The complex wont allow sublets either.
The couple (they moved from china a month ago, so communication is hard) want 2 girls who will be taking my room to pay more since there are two people. They actually refuse to let them on the lease if they wont add $20 on to the rent so as to reduce the rent for the master bedroom, which is underpriced in the first place.
What can I do? To terminate the lease, the price is $2000. Would that be per occupant or per apartment, (so it would be $500 each rather than $2000?) They claim the $20 is for the principle of the matter and wont take the amount from us, (though we offered to pay them) only the new people, based on the moral of the matter.
Please help!

ok, i'm a placement manager at an employment agency. most of the time our positions are based on general labor, assembly, loading and unloading, etc. the catch is that they are jobs that pay minimum wage, $6.50..... as a person i understand that people don't want to work their butt off for only that amount of money. ofcourse, as an agency this is what we do... we offer only this kind of jobs, very rarely, do we offer better paying jobs. i've been working here for a short period, i'm under the looking glass, lol. so now i have to come up with 5 ideas to excite people into accepting these $6.50 per hour jobs, now here's where you might be able to help... any ideas on how to excite people into taking these positions??? please help remember the looking glass....
