I deposited $400 cash once, and they said that there was only $300 in the envelope, so I no longer deposit cash in the machine, just checks.
I know the money was correct as I had worked in a bank myself for many years and I am capable of adding money accurately, but the bank said that they couldn't do anything about it.

I havent had a bad experience so far. In fact , once i deposited 105 dollars through ATM and wrote 100 dollars on the envelope by mistake, the bank corrected the mistake and deposited 105 in my account. But I still say for bigger amounts than 200 or so deposit in person is better.

I do it twice a week and have for about 10 years. I'm a waitress and mom. I don't have time to go to the bank and I don't like having all that cash around, too easy to piss it away. I've never had a problem doing it.

confident it is secure. shop the receipt. The machines are balanced below double custody. (2 workers.) in case you want extra secure practices (and no person is around or at the back of you) delay the money as you count variety it in front of the atm's digital camera. In maximum machines the cam is extensive perspective and is the two to the left or appropriate of you. It captures the guy in front of the gadget besides as those status at the back of. extra moderen machines now count variety the money through fact the deposit is made.

Yes, I've done it in the past with amounts under $100, but I do NOT like doing it. Paranoid New Yorker, I am.

I never have.
You can never assume there isn't a human error when you go to the bank, so I KNOW I am NOT going to trust machine #376251...
Just go in during business hours...
and STILL check your receipt.
