And where is this FACT? Oh, it's not a fact at all - because if you had done research, in many fields women make more than their male counterparts (for example, male nurses make less than female nurses) - also, many women take a number of years off to have families, so they may only have 10 years seniority and are being measured against a man who has 20 years seniority - and the company is supposed to "make up the difference?". Why?
Many women have more than 2 jobs because they are unskilled, and can only get menial labor. Women with multiple degrees who can travel and do the "corporate gig" can make big bucks - but many choose to not climb the corporate ladder - which is ok by me, but don't complain when you don't make as much money.
Why don't you do a little research before you spawn all of these characterizations?

many men do too. believe what you don't want to about it. The truth is that people get paid based on how well they do the job. If it turns out that men get paid more then I guess that men are better at holding a job and doing it good. Remember that women haven't had jobs for that long and they may be trying to figure it out still.

Yes and No, the industry I am in I think women have a greater advantage and make more money but in a competitve business environment, unless the woman is a hard working straight forward employee, I think they are overlooked. Girl Power!!!

It's a shame, it shouldn't be this way but I think women settle for less money. In my community women work as a supplement to their husbands income. I imagine they think they are not the "primary" income so they don't demand as much. I think it's wrong, women need to be confident that they too deserve as much as their male counterparts.

Read the book "Glass Ceiling" I wish I could remember the author. I Never believed that it was fair man or woman pay the same in my business I hire and fire and I would never pay a woman less than a man same job same pay.

Shame for your slogans of "equal rights".
As a matter of fact, women should not need to do a job for money.
