About six years ago I brought a timeshare, and for various reasons I defaulted on payments and the unit was subsequently sold. I was declared bankrupt in the UK earlier this year, but will my bankruptcy include this debt - if one still exists ?
Also, will this event affect my ability to enter the country on my next trip? Thank you for your help - it is much appreciated.

The collector called when I wasn't home. He answered my husbands questions about what he was calling about. They want me to call back and give the discharge # and lawyer's name. Can I be legally responsible for this debt that was discharged 10 years ago in the bankruptcy? Obviously this debt was sold to a third party collection agency. How do I need to respond to protect myself?

I recently won a trip for myself, 12 students and another adult chaperone. The value of the trip is $24,000 total. It is broken down as each student is allowed to go on a tour worth $2,000 each (12 x 2000 = 24000). The chaperone and myself travel for free with these 12 students.
My questions are:
1) Am I responsible for the taxes on the total value of the trip since I was the one who's name was picked in the drawing?
2) Is the other chaperone responsible for any taxes since their trip is free?
3) Would each student be responsible for claiming their portion of the tour - $2000 each?

I live and pay taxes in the United States only.
Thanks for any help you can give.

For those of you who are struggling to get by, what do you feel are your biggest barriers to getting into the type of jobs where you could make more money?

For instance, is it lack of education, lack of experience, too high of unemployment, unable to work due to a health problem, lack of transportation?

What would need to change in your life to get into the field you want to be in?

Ok I am drawing a blank on this, and whats sad is I should know this answer. We have a travel trailer, our travel trailer policy covers for comp but not collision cause we were at a permanent lot, but this weekend we had to move it cause of changes being made to the lot. We didn't call ahead to add collision coverage, but while moving the trailer out, my hubby hit the water line and electrical box at the resort, causing the lines to break and a big dent in our travel trailer. I am thinking that the travel trailer insurance won't cover it, but will it be covered under our auto since our auto was covered under another policy and was pulling the trailer at the time? It is a 37 foot camper and we have collision coverage on our vehicle. It would at least cover the liability for the resort right? Thanks.

I'm at a crossroads, happily married at 28. I don't have a career - I do work full time but I don't make a lot of money. In order for me to have a career, I would need to go back to school. Here's where I'm at the crossroads - I don't want kids, I never have - it's just a personal choice that I've felt all my life...and I'm not really interested in going back to school. So what do I do? I feel like I'm going nowhere and my life is not fulfilling. I've got a great husband who is as creative as they come, and I feel like I'm the only person I know in my family and friends sector that's not doing anything. Where should I start? I would love a career that brings home a lot of money and is something that I truly enjoy...what would be my best first choice of action?? I want to make the necessary changes to lead a happy life.

An employee of my company was recently fired for not respecting policies and procedures. He was a sales rep who was doing an excellent job but was also selling restricted products against our company policy and was getting paid by our customers on the side on his personal bank account. However, we discovered that the employee was donating the money he got (comission or so) to charity. We are not sure that we need to press charges as the amount was probably under $5000. What would be your suggestions? Thank you
