I am want to start a non-profit that assists adults 25 and older that are going back to school and are survivors of life threatening diseases.

I am a 30 year survivor of Cancer, single, and an independant student. I live on my own and am trying to go back to school but can't afford it on my own, my employer doesn't offer a lot of reimbursement, and student loans don't cover everything.

This non-profit I want to start would provide grants to adults whom are not able to pay for college on their own and have no assistance from family or state funds, and can't qualify for private loans.

Hello, I have been doing freelance computer repair for the 2 months, 3 weeks ago I received a call from a "private" number on my phone. It was a lady with some sort of company who started asking me all sorts of questions about my company, prices, etc. When I asked her why I should tell her she would just laugh, and continue asking questions, changing the subject and continuing to ask questions. I finally became so irrated I yelled "why do you keep changing the subject, who are you, why don't you just answer my questions!" she replied, "haven't you ever heard of closed bidding for your computer repair service." It sounded very fishy to me. Well anyway, I recieved a call last night.. and it was her again. She said "do you remember me? I am calling about the 3 computers a day you can fix for me." It just didn't make any sense, does anyone have any idea of who this could be that is calling. It sounds like she is working for someone to get information out of me

Is it legal to give your 30 days notice by email? Does that count as written notification? I gave 40 days notice to allow a little extra time, and did this by email. It's been a couple of days, and I've received no reply. We're now approaching the 30 day limit, and I need to be sure that email notice is valid.

I cannot see him in person, he lives in a different state, has no property manager, and I can't seem to reach him by phone. Does it matter if he acknowledges it, as long as I sent it? Or should I get confirmation that he has also RECEIVED it?

The area manager is very intimidating towards him and demands he works at no notice at all and expects him, to drop everything and go into work. What can he/we do?
