Statistically speaking, for every $10k in annual salary, it takes that many months to get a job - "even filled out a resume" - he should have several depending on the type of job he's applying for.

If he wants to make $50k / year, he needs to be beating the sidewalks every day for 5 months.

Do cold calls to potential employers - post your resume everywhere - contact headhunters (e.g., Management Recruiters) - go to job fairs - in this economy, you've got to be on top.

Send thank you notes for every interview you get - not emails, but typed notes. This impresses the socks off of employers.

Looking for a job is a full time job. Hit the streets, dress to impress, have a strong resume and attitude, and always, ALWAYS follow up with the application after a few days by phone, e-mail, or personally.

Don't wait for the employers to call your friend up, tell your friend to call them and let them know that he/she has passed a resume on this day and time and that he/she have passed it to this person.

If your friend calls them up it makes the employer know that your friend is really interested for the job thats why he/she is following-up on it.

I really works. Thats how I got my dream job.

It comes off that you and your chum are only out having exciting and not in any respect extreme about operating there. Its like wearing saddles and turn flops to an interview. undergo in recommendations the first effect is the biggest portion of having a job.
