About six years ago I brought a timeshare, and for various reasons I defaulted on payments and the unit was subsequently sold. I was declared bankrupt in the UK earlier this year, but will my bankruptcy include this debt - if one still exists ?
Also, will this event affect my ability to enter the country on my next trip? Thank you for your help - it is much appreciated.

In the US, each debt must be called out to be included in bankruptcy - thus, if the unit was sold and there is still a balance due, you are liable for those payments. I'm guessing that it sold for less than you owed - perhaps you can amend your bankruptcy to include this debt?

This is a civil matter, not criminal, so it shouldn't show up when your passport is entered into the US system.
