"Create" a letter stating that you are relocating for your job and the lease will not be paid.

No, not without a special clause. However, most landlords won't sue you for the remainder of the lease. They'd rather just put another tenant in and keep the money flowing. Leave the place clean and in good repair and you might be ok.

Start by reading your lease. The lease should state what will happen if the lease is terminated early. After reading your lease then discuss options with your landlord.

Good Luck.

In the lease there should be a section about lease termination. Most places just make you pay the next month though. When my husband and I broke ours we had to pay one month more than we lived there.

Start by being open and honest about your situation. Getting caught in a lie or fabrication can only hurt you, especially if you end up in court. Technically you are responsible until the apartment is re-rented, and the landlord should make every effort to get it re-rented as soon as possible

Your options should be covered in the Lease.
That would be your starting point.

Open communication with Landlord is another step in the right direction. S/he may have a prospective tenant ready to fill the vacancy.

Good Luck!

Its pretty hard unless you are military with orders or some places require you to pay money
