Im trying to hire people and I want to know what the general crowd would answer to this.

Making each customer fell as your only costumer is key.

I'm a Customer Service Representative a.k.a. CSR...

I work basically like an admin. assistant too. I answer phone calls, handle customer complaints and needs, be the face of the company, I dispatch to drivers what their next job assignment is, etc. Customer Service is really what it's name is.. working with customers of the company. In some companies, the Customer Service is placed in the front desk of an establishment to greet customers or to be the first person the customers meet before they proceed to wherever they are going to in the establishment.

Building Bridges... Well, for our company I do that by communicating with our customers, sending them Customer Survey forms to answer and if they have some suggestions I bring that up to the management for improvements. Or I even give our customers a call or visit to ask how things are with them and if they are enjoying the services that our company offers to them.

Customer service is taking care of the customer when they are in contact with you. ie phone, in front of you, complaints, etc.

Building bridges - note anything you can, birthday's, anniversaries, kid's achievements, and birthday's, you get the idea. Make a note of them and then send a card, something to notice the event. Make them feel that they are important, and not just for the money they put into your company!

to me, costomer service means, veing respectful, and show good attitude. if I want to buld bridges with coustomer, I hav to be nice with the customer...that;s all
