Our Texas home of 22 years was recently sold by my father for him to play it all at a casino and lose everything. He's an abusive gambloholic who now lives in a roach motel in Houston Texas working as a cab driver. After we moved we lived in several different places such as Little Rock Arkansas because we figured it was a great place to live but we were wrong so we moved to Portland Oregon. We all live together now with my mother while my pathetic father still lives in Houston. So my question is how can I raise that kind of money to get my home back? $45,000 dollars. Because right now we're not doing so well living in a rental home in Portland. I for one hate the state of Oregon, the people here are so rude and hatefull. The problem with Little Rock was that the crime rate is very high. I got robbed at gun point doing my laundry so I wouldn't suggest moving there. So please if anyone can help me with any information on how to get the money to get my home back It would help me out alot.

I was working as a part time temp for an employer. I inquired about coming on as a full time employee. I was told they were not hiring right now but my assignment would be longterm. I started job search and found a full time perm job. I informed the Company that I would be leaving. All of a sudden they said they didn't want to lose me and now made a counter offer offering me a permanent job with them. I am not sure if I should take it because I am suspicious about why they didn't offer me when I asked them? The other company is very stable (financially) and has an excellent rating. I have heard that you should never accept counteroffers from employers is this true?

My friend is working full time at a college and wants to quit her job immediately without giving any notice. Besides the fact that this is a sucky thing to do to her employer, can she get into any kind of trouble (legal or otherwise) for doing this?

Hi, I am new on this forum and I want to open an internet cafe in a mall next to a school. i am 100% if i open there it will work, however, i am having trouble contacting the person in charge for the local.
I went in person to meet the administration office. They ask me to call a phone number and the number was a vocal box. i left a message and they never call back. i was wondering if there was a specific way to leave a message.
Does anyone know how to be persistent when we leave a message to rent a local?
for example: what information must be said and what to talk about. because when i left my message i was not quite sure if I sounded professional.
thanx you

Like for example, I went on a job interview, and they hired me without me opening my mouth really. How awful is that. I mean I know I looked good, but I hate when that happens, I feel like they do not want me for inside, only the outside, because I am pretty and attractive
