Im a young aspiring first time home buyer- I have good credit and a couple of roommates in place but do not necessarily have a stable employment history, but could come up with the funds to make the necessary monthly payments. Is it still possible for a first time home buyer to purchase a home without having the recommended 2 yrs of job history?

I was staying with my aunt, she owns her home. Someone stole my portable safe with cash in it. I filed a police report, the safe was found but was empty. The police have suspects but no arrests have been made. It has been over 6 months. Will her insurance cover my money?

The question as old as time. I was offered a position in NYC that starts on Monday. I am currently in NC at the moment. If I take the job I will not be giving my current employer any notice. The best I could do is slip a letter of resignation under his office door. He left too early today before I decided to accept the new position. What do you think I should do? I already have the job and a place to stay up there so thats not a factor. Its just a matter of accepting it and giving my boss a zero day notice that I'm leaving is what I'm pondering over.

The loan was for an auto repo. A debt collection agency contacted me and said they would settle for 25% of the loan amount, which is a great deal. If I do not pay the amount could it affect my credit again in the future?

How much does it cost to rent an apartment, fill up a gas tank, and still eat? How much disposable income is left over after taxes and expenses? Just how frugally does someone living on $36,000 per year have to behave? For comparison's sake, assume that the cost of living is equivalent to that in Atlanta.

I am on the lookout for business opportunities. One that I saw in an American mag involves buying payments that a people receive over time (e.g. monthly rent that a landlord receives) in exchange for a lump sum of cash. The profit to the investor would be the difference between what he pays for the stream of payments and what he/she receives from that stream.

Does anyone have any comments or ideas?

I am in the beginning stages of buying a house. I am a first time home buyer and have enough for 20% on an average priced house. I just checked my score and they gave me 3 scores; the lowest is 620 and the highest is 640. So before I go into the mortgage bank office, I wanted to see what my rate would be like...

Thank you so much
