We completed a contract to purchase a home. Our agent did not mark the financial contingency box as we had our financing all approved. We were told the payment amount before we made the offer. Once the offer was accepted, the payment amount came back substanially higher. The broker had made an error. Now we can't afford the house and the seller is threatening to sue us. State of home purchase is WI.

I have two major charge offs on my credit report one is for 6k the other for 3k. Both generated by my ex-husband. The accounts were in my name alone he just used the cards. Both accounts have been closed since 1998 and they are still on my credit report. I cannot afford to pay them, never could and they are destroying my life! I've recently disputed them with the credit bureaus and waiting for a response. Anything else I could do?

Well, I'm having a really hard time keeping up with my bills. My husband and I are renting a home, $1500 a month. We have 3 kids, all over the age of 18. They live with us. It just seems that since we moved into this house, we have had problems keeping up on the bills. At our old house, we were a month ahead on all the bills. But when we moved, we didn't get any money back from the bank which made it impossible to keep the bills a month ahead. My husband makes 6600 a month and I make 600 a month. Yet, we are struggling. Between all of our bills, we are in trouble. What makes it worse, all of the bills are due at the beginning of the month. Our rent, car insurance, the two truck payments, and the cell phones. It's hard. Do you have any tips that could possibly help us?

Quote"
While the retailer (Wal-Mart) said it would not push employees to support a particular party, Wal-Mart media relations director David Tovar said some employees had been upset by a union-led campaign against the company and wanted to counter the attacks."

Ok yeah, I'm sure all those minimum wage Wal-Mart employees were thoroughly distressed over having a union and making more money, getting health benefits. Etc. It must have broke their hearts when they heard they might make better money if Wal-Mart went Union.

Yeah right.

Omg, i swear to whom ever that my boss is the boss from HELL! She takes every oprotunity to point out that I'm doing things wrong, (which means I'm just not doing them here way! but still right!) make me feel little and stupid and not worth the dirt on my shoes. Nobody in my office likes her and she's on a short leash with the owners of the company. which i might add, like me a lot. Granted its no DEVIL WEARS PRADA, but still. do any of you have any ideas on how i can survive my boss from hell? And what have been your experiences and what have you done about it?

I requested verification of a debt two weeks ago. I didn't deny I owed the company, but did deny the original amount listed with the collection agency, and requested proof of how they arrived at the large mount in late fees and interest.

Although this company was sending me mail at least twice a week, I haven't heard from them since sending the letter, and this is the third week now. I made the request within the 30 day period mentioned in the letter, so I should have received something via mail by now shouldn't I?

How much time do they have to get back to me with the information? My credit report shows the ORIGINAL debt I owed with late fees August 2006 was $7000(it was much less than that), one month later, it showed over $11,000 September 2006.

I also noticed, that although I have debt with other collection agencies, only this collection agency appears on the first page directly under "public records" listing the debt I owe.
