I went through the same thing. I was a sales rep for many years, and I went through some major changes. I went back to grad school on a grant and went off in an entirely different profession. Got savings you can live off of? Government grants will take care of the tuition and books. If not that, why don't you sit down and think of all the connections you have in the business world. Network until you get to where you want to be. Dream a little, too. Be willing to sacrifice for what you want. I wish you the best of luck.

You are just in a people slump guy, like batters.
Been in sales 24 years (wow, where does it go?) and been through a few. Meaningful vacation and reflection...(not Vegas, OK?)...go hiking, sailing, go see an elderly relative and spend time with them, go volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and get some blisters, drive 2 days to visit someone or something, no radio etc. No fluffy vacations and no TV!
Your head will get back on straight. What do you sell?

first, you can start exploring your personality a bit more and see what kinds of things you're interested in, and the kind of person you've become.
then, you can do some research, (the internet is good for this) and see what types of careers are out there for you to pursue.
you might just enjoy talking to a different type of people.. maybe the salesman bit sold itself out for you. it happens..

My cats are literally one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous and performance grown extra affectionate to me, in spite of the indisputable fact that it changed into no longer type of an in a single day element and took some months. i imagine at the same time as kittens they were so busy playing all they said of me changed into I fed them. Now they have grown out of playing and delight in my company extra. it really isn't any longer this variety of undesirable element!

that is not unusual
when you get past 35 you tend to NOT want to be bothered
I am 35 and I hardly EVER call anyone for kicks any more ..
trust me there is nothing wrong with that at all
and as far as a career ...
you can do back office work such as bank processing, printing press operator,
or even a financial analyst

You're just tired of dealing with people. They can be annoying sometimes. Take a break, or go on a vacation. You'll be type A in no time.

Why not become a trainer? Teach sales men the tricks of the trade. You switch gears but still do what you are versed at.
