My Diploma is overseas at the moment, but I am applying for a bank telling job that requires a high school diploma. Will they ask me to actually present it or will they see that when they do a background check?!

If it is a requirement of the position that you have earned a high school diploma, it is correct procedure for the organization's human resource department, to call the school to verify.

No one has ever asked to see my high school diploma. You will most likely have to have a background check and references. They may ask what high school you attended if they choose to check.

No employer has asked to see my H.S. diploma. It is common knowledge that if they really want to check on it you have given the name of the school on the application and they can do so if they choose to.

No, you don't actually need to present the document. They can contact the institution you graduated from if they need to verify information.

They will do a backround check. Don't worry about it. If they ask, a copied version will suffice.

You will most likely have to show them a copy. Can't you have it faxed here? I doubt they need the original.
