I am looking for a list of the 500 companies who spent the most on R&d for 2005. Anyone know where I can find this? Thanks!

Looks like you are going to be a really busy girl, sorting through 500 annual reports at your brokerage or free edgar or news site like businessweek, etc.

I could help you look them up, but it won't be for free.

Alright, for free then, you can go to cnn.com, click on money then get the fortune list of the top 500 publicly traded companies. Then, using CNN's Money lookup, they have R&D as part of the financial breakdown, so click on financials tab. Good luck.
