There is a very ancient and wise saying:

"don't **** where you eat"

The only way you can get away with it is you work at different teams within the company and there is no obvious short term possibility that one of you will be promoted to manage the other.

I recommend you either forget about it, or pursue it with the understanding that as soon as one of you gets promoted, one of you will have to move to a different group or change jobs.

I would refrain from any sort of relationship with anyone I work with. But if you must, he may mention some club that he is going to, take your cues from there and just happen to be at the same club at the same time. If he is smart, he will be very careful at work, it's too easy to get a sexual harassment charge now on the job.

Just tell him that you like him. Remember that harassment is only harassment if it's unwelcomed. If he's too shy to say anything to you because of some stupid policy than he may not be very assertive, so if you don't like spineless men I'd suggest just passing on the whole situation. Unless of course you just want to be friends with benefits, then do as you will.

In this day and age of litigation any body having any relationship at work is dangerous. If I wanted to have a relationship with some one that I worked with I would attempt to bump into them away from work and let it develop from there.

Sexual harassment is about UNWELCOMED sexual advances.

Why don't you take the first step and ask him out to lunch?
