Depends on the employer // Health Insurance is one of benefits the employer gives to the employee.

Depends on the employer. Some employers offer health insurance to part time workers, some don't.

State regulations withstanding, qualification depends on how your employer established and set up the health plan with the carrier. Carriers (at least in Washington) will allow as low as 20 hours a week as long as it is consistent for all employees.
So, the answer is that it depends on your employer

Majority of business offer health insurance to full time employees. 30 hours per week is not full time. But many small business offer health insurance to both full time and part time employees. Ask your human resources person to find out for sure.

You will need to ask your employer. My employer considers 32 hrs./wk. F/T. I hear that Federal law mandates that you are considered F/T if you work atleast 32 hrs./wk. on a regular basis. My understanding of benefits is that you must be a F/T employee, your employer must offer them, AND you must opt in, in order to get them.
