Our Texas home of 22 years was recently sold by my father for him to play it all at a casino and lose everything. He's an abusive gambloholic who now lives in a roach motel in Houston Texas working as a cab driver. After we moved we lived in several different places such as Little Rock Arkansas because we figured it was a great place to live but we were wrong so we moved to Portland Oregon. We all live together now with my mother while my pathetic father still lives in Houston. So my question is how can I raise that kind of money to get my home back? $45,000 dollars. Because right now we're not doing so well living in a rental home in Portland. I for one hate the state of Oregon, the people here are so rude and hatefull. The problem with Little Rock was that the crime rate is very high. I got robbed at gun point doing my laundry so I wouldn't suggest moving there. So please if anyone can help me with any information on how to get the money to get my home back It would help me out alot.

well first off you need to find out how your dad got the title to the house, without it he couldn't have sold it.
Chances are, it involved a crime, like forgery or fraud. If you gave it to him, you can just write the house off.
Chances are not good that you'll get the house back... Unless you do something that gets your Dad in legal trouble - but then he's headed in that direction anyway, so maybe it will be your intervention that forces him to go to jail and stop ruining the lives of his family.
If he sold YOUR house and he didn't have permission or the title, then he's a criminal and should be punished.

Call the police and arrest him. Sue him.

There is NO WAY he could have sold your home if his name was NOT on the title. So don't ever co-sign anything with him again.
