I act as an agent in helping put together a deal between two companies. The two companies sign a contract where one buys a product from the other. I AM NOT A SIGNATORY TO THIS CONTRACT. My role is purely to bring the two companies together where I know one of them needs what the other is offering. If either of them default on their obligation to the contract -i.e, one accepts the product and does not pay OR one pays but does not receive the promised product - am I in any way liable to the affected company??

I have acted in good faith and do not have any knowledge or inclination that one of the companies was going to default on their contractual obligation.

While I havent signed any contract per say - there is enough email correspondence to establish that I was a part of the negotiation process between the two companies in my role and capacity as an agent.

Please let me know what my legal / financial liability will be in such a circumstance.

Hi, here is the situation. I worked for 10 months for a dot com company.
Due to a lack of cash, they had to laid me off. At the exit interview, my boss asked me if I wanted to sell them a domain I own. They agreed to pay me $12,000 in 12 monthly payment. This was 07/20. The first payement was due 08/10. They did not pay. I contacted them but did not return phone calls. We exchange emails 10 days ago where I was saying that I expect a payement of $2,000. They said that they will try to meet the dateline of 09/10 for 2K. They argue taht they are short in cash. I do have something in writing, signed by the C.T.O of the company, saying the deal, 12 payement, 12 times $1,000, the dates and everything, something who looks solid to me. We are now the 09/14 and I did not get anything yet. What can I do? Will I ever see my money? How if they close their business, is the debt still valid to me? Should I pursue legal action, should I use a collection Agency? I want to fight hard for the money.

Welfare type stuff... Food stamps, and other such stuff, like basic monetary solutions for a poor college kid whose job isn't paying enough, fast enough... at this very moment. Also I live in Arizona so if anyone knows directions, or the name of a place...that'd be super helpful too. Thanx all

There was a small study done by a college that showed you actually make $$$$ by doing the opposite of what he says to do. Basically you wait 1-2 days for the stock to run up in price, then you buy a put that second day. Then after 5 to 7 days it drops below the price that it was first reccomended at. Then you make a nice profit. Simple, yet ingenious!

Quickbooks will NOT work. This is an interior design business, and we have to keep track of inventory, furniture and other things, that are mostly rented out, but sometimes sold. Does anyone know of an inexpensive software that will do this?

I work in a really small company with only 5 people including me. I have only been here for a couple of months but hate it already and totally dislike everyone here. They are boring, insular people with no lives. All I do all day is file papers away (mind you the job discription said I would be doing much more than this). I gave up my disability pension for this stupid job (I have had it suspended and can go back to it within 2 years) and now I dont know what to do. I feel as if I am only here for the pay cheque but am really dragging my feet everyday. What should I do?

This will be my first time buying a house and I found an affordable house that my girlfriend and I really like but I'm not sure if it is a safe buy. It states that: This property is corporate owned and sold in current condition. No repairs, warranties, disclosures or inspections provided by the seller. Your proof of funds or a prequalification letter must accompany all offers. A special addendum will be made a part of the final contract. Seller reserves the right to negotiate offers in any order regardless of date/time submitted. What does this mean? And would a loan be accepted?
