I am being offered a position with a non-profit company for $35k annually. It is (on average) a 25-30 minute morning commute, plus 10 minutes to drop the baby off. Coming home, it will take me about an hour to 70 minutes to pick up both kids and get home. Should I accept it, or wait and see if something closer to home shows up--even if it is for less money? I would like to stay closer to home, but that's pretty decent $$....

I work in a Day Care Center, and have an employee who sits around and watches the children misbehave, rather than deal with the situation. I'm not exactly sure how to approach her, as she may get really mad and just walk out for good. I need her as an employee, but she really has to do something other than just sit. Any ideas on how to talk to her in a tactful and professional way? Thank You!

I need to help raise some money for my robotics team from school and I know a few companies I could ask but I don't know the format for pleading for sponserships or grants or something.
Who do I address it to?
How do I format it?
What things should I say and not say?
If you can answer any, that would be great!

Seems though their system is designed to earn interest on their customers money for months before returning it. Is that even legal?

Is it absolutely necessary to give a two weeks notice? I work at a Baskin-Robbins franchise as the lowliest wage-slave you could imagine. Is it really necessary that I give a two weeks notice? Could leaving in a few days damage my chances of getting a new job? I've been a relatively helpful employee, never doing much wrong besides not having doctor's notes. (I can't afford to go most of the time.) But I need to quit immediately because working late is causing my grades to become unsatisfactory. I'm really torn between enduring the two weeks and just going ahead and quitting.

What should I do?

My brother is a supplemental insurance salesman and he had my grandma buy 2 policies for myself and wife. We knew nothing about this, until she cancelled and they sent us the bill. He says there is no problem but this doesn't seem right. This was all done so he could get a promotion and he still got commission off the polcies. If we ever decide to take the insurance oout for ourselves we will now have to pay the whole premium at once instead of monthly. Is this legal
