Hmm... well there are a few things
You need a tax id number, and a business license. You should be able to go to city hall and get the one. I'm not exactly sure where you get the tax id, but you can look it up.

You need equitment. Sponges, brushes, brooms, push carts maybe, all that lovely stuff. Definitly gloves and cleaners too. Plus since you want to do it in an office inviroment you will have to get special stuff for computers since they are electro static and water sensitive.

Last you need marketing. Business cards to leave around, yellow pages advert, maybe fliers to send out to businesses...

There are other steps depending on if you need financing, or employies... your best bet is to try SCORE... URL below. THey are retiered euntrapaners that can get you some good advice and info right quick.

The best advice in business is "Do something that you know". Why are you trying to start something that you say you don't have any idea where to start? Also it is going to take money to start most businesses. Perhaps you should go work for somebody in that business you are interested in before you go it alone.

Go to apartment complexes and offer your services. Most cases you have to be insured b4 you do that. Apply for a small business loan asap to get started.
