Welfare type stuff... Food stamps, and other such stuff, like basic monetary solutions for a poor college kid whose job isn't paying enough, fast enough... at this very moment. Also I live in Arizona so if anyone knows directions, or the name of a place...that'd be super helpful too. Thanx all

Okay, you people obviously don't get it, my family is as broke as I am, and all live in MI. I'm in Arizona. add to it I have a small family to start with. Now, I havfe a job, and Go to college. That clears up from 6 am to about 9 pm. so what would you like me to do...work from 9 pm to 1 am and expcect to: A) stay Sane, and not kill myself. and B) still be able to do the things I need to?

I'm not asking for money to rely on for the rest of my life. Only while I start college. I'm still new to this whole life thing people I'm 20. Get the picture now?

I don't know about Arizona cause I live in Ohio. However try your local "Job and Family Services" or "Community Action" other then that my guess would be Churches or food pantry's.
Job and family service would be for public assistants ie: food stamps and such.

you get a better paying job. Why would you want to rely on your government to support you??? geez.. Obviously you don't get it, don't rely on your goverment! There are better jobs out there! Hell if single working moms can go to college full time I think a young man with no other responsibilities can do it....What are you spending your $$ on? Cable TV? Cell phone? Alcohol? Fast Food???? Movies? If you are doing any of these then you don't need to be on welfare!

Cut back on any extras. Yes, I realize that is not much of a life, but that's life! You have to take the bad in order to get to the good (college).

don't develop this mentality that society owes u money to help u out. since u r a student u r trying to become independent...a survivor!!
i agree with the first response. get a job or get loans.
maybe u can get a deal with a family, where u can live there rent-free but u have to help out with chores around the house...maybe tutor kids...or be a apartment co-manager...live rent-free but help oversee the tenants (don't do this one alone).
