I work as a nanny. I have a lot of experience and great references. The problem is I live in an area that doesn't have a great need for nannies. I have told myself I will never work for another family where a parent is at home (working or not) because it is very uncomfortable for me. The children do not listen to me and it is just difficult all around. Consistently the hardest part of my day is before the parents leave in the morning and when they get home at night.

Recently I have turned down many interviews for families who have a parent working at home because of this. I feel there is a slim chance that I won't hate the job I don't want to go through that again.

Today I interviewed with a mom who wants me to be with her a lot of the time helping her care for infant twins and toddler and when she is actually working she will be at home.

I think she will be offering me the job. I do not have any prospects at all for parents who don't work at home. What should I do?

I am getting married tomorrow, and in leu of that, my fiancee and I are updating our w-4's.

A little background:
a) She has a son, 2 years old, that lives with us full time
b) I make 27,000/yr
c) She makes 16,000/yr
d) We rent an apt (but plan to buy in about 2 years, hopefully less)
e) She currently claims our son

If you need any more information, let me know. If you want to contact me directly, jon at phazm dot net is the best address to reach me by.

I want to know what would be the best amount to claim. (We really don't know anything about this, it's sad really) We don't know if we should file jointly or seperately, who should claim our son, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I am not asking this question to anger any mothers, I just want to learn why they have to leave so suddenly. I work in a surgical facility and they just up and leave. Couldn;t they call their husband to go get the child?

There is no need to answer with Well, you must not have children, because you are right I don't, that is why I'm asking. So, please don't be rude, okee dokee?

hey i just turned 19 years old and i was wondering if a 620 credit score was good for someone of my age.... i have 2 credit cards that i use only 2 or 3 times a week and i pay them off every month when i recieve the statement and on my credit report it shows that the accounts are all in good standing, and are never late. So is my score typical and is my score to low to get a gas credit card?

I would like to hear your take on why this is happening . For 3 straight weeks, interest rates have been dropping on 30yr mortgages. My rationale : I think they are falling because the mortgage lenders do not have enough demand but an over-abundence of capital from foreign countrys as the USA keeps buying more imports than selling the world stuff, and its causing another imbalance where the countrys are running out of places to invest.I also think it's further proof the housing bubble has popped.....I suppose many here will say it's going to be good for housing as there is no 'bubble'. I'd still like to hear from you.

Early in my investing career I quickly lost $118,000 in every market you can think of. Since then I have learned how to read financial reports, understand the effects of geoploitical situations throughout the world and I have extensively studied technical analysis (patterns, support/resistance, indicators based on oscillations & candlesticks).

I'm a CFP, and have been very successful in the past two years. I have netted a 8637% gain on my personnel investment. I rarely hold an investment more then 20 trading days and quickly drop any investment where I had an incorrect read.
