Your wife will generally be given such benefits as free medical care, reduced rent in onbase quarters, shopping privileges at the exchange and commisary, as well as the station or base gas station if one is on the place you are stationed. If you transfer, she is allowed to go with you as long as you are not going into a combat zone.
In other words, the benefits outweigh the negatives.

If you've followed proceedures per Army regs. Then she & all of your subsequent dependants will be issued a military(dependants) I.D. card which entitles them to commisary,medical & any other privleges that is provided on base for non-active military personel.

You both will be able to live rent free on the base, you both will have medical benefits and you both will be able to make good friends just in time to lose them due to relocation.
