I have a medical background, trying to get into a different industry and thought this Sat. job may help employers see that I can do something other then work in a doctors office This Sat. job is for a Real Estate Office, basically just phones, not to busy on wknds. so I don't know now if this experience will be helpful or I should maybe take a risk and quit my medical job and do temp work for year? Any advice?

Try it for a couple weeks and see how it goes. You'll still have your day job if its not for you. So you really have nothing to lose by giving it a go.

What industry are you trying to get into? Unless real estate is the industry you desire, then I see no benefit except financial in taking the second job. Use your time on Saturdays to research what qualifications you need in that other industry. Then you can pursue an educational or training opportunities to obtain your desired field. If finances are your motivation, then take the second job if you think the financial benefit outweighs losing personal time.

I would not quit your job for temp work. Temp work is unreliable and you are never guaranteed work. The sat thing is a great way to get ahead and stock pile money in a savings account for rainy days in case of emergencies and the such. But I would never suggest quiting a job for temporary work. You have guaranteed income right now leave it that way.

if it is only Sat. and with winter approaching, it should be fine and you have extra money for next years holiday, look at it that way. No never quite your weekly job. Stick with it, it properly pays good and you learn a lot . Never hurts to have more experience under the belt. Good Luck, try it for awhile.
