Tattoos - December 2006

So I had to have another tattoo, and I got it last week 12/19/06. I had gotten a tattoo when I was 18 on my lower back, yeah yeah, and it healed fine... Then again, I didn't really see it...
The new tattoo is on my inner left wrist, and the tattoo artist told me after to use some A&D Ointment... I went to the store, couldn't find it... so I got something similar, Aveno healing rub... Well apparantely that didn't work, now, I have a slight infection... put neosporin on it... then went back to the Tattoo shop they said A&D... What is the difference? They both are for the same thing, so I guess I am confused. I basically infected my own tattoo by using something else... when they are the same thing????
Anyways, color is bad, but fixable... Will go back in 3 weeks and have the color touched up... Baaaaah... I HAD to have another tattoo!

I have a tattoo, I really like it but it is not as good as it could be, a very small part of it needs to be removed and it needs a little more colour in some places. Would a tattoo artist be able to alter it?

and i am keeping lotion on it. its peeling a little. how long should the healing process take.when approx will it be fully healed? i got alot of shading and color. so it is scabbed up. I was hoping it would be fully healed by the 2nd of january,but i know thats not gonna happen.lol. I am going to massage school so thats why i am kinda rushing the healing process. Thanx

I am really skinny at 5'6" and around 105 lbs so I heard it is much more painful to get a tattoo being so skinny because your bones are right under your skin......how painful is this? Where is the least painful place and most painful place?

I've been obsessed with the idea of getting a tattoo around my left wrist for almost 2 years now. . . . the idea came from a line from my favorite song (also a song that's a tribute for my Grandmother who died in March) the line is about 14 words long and I don't want the writing to be too terribly big . . . nothing that can't be covered with a wide bracelet or cuff. I work at a bank, there is no real policy about body art, there are several other girls here w/ tattoos (ankle, shoulder blade etc) so I don't think that would be any problem. I also have a scar on my wrist that I would like to have covered up, or at least have something else on my wrist to draw the attention away from the scar. I have no tattoos at all, and I know everyone says "wait for a month, your whim will go away" I've been waiting, it hasn't gone away! I would like to know what everyone thinks about tattooing AROUND the wrist, not just outside or inside. Thanks in advance for your advice!
