i got my bellybutton pierced just after christmas and its red and sort of sore....what can i do??? i tried using disinfectent but it did nothing!

I am wondering for the professional tattoo artists, have to have tattoo themselves on their bodies, when they do the tattoo business or else show off tattoo to their customers?
Does it effects any to the customer if the professiona artist does not have his/her tattoo on the body?
Asking to both of the tattoo artist and the the customer who did or intends to do the tattoo.....

I had my belly button pierced twice the first time it seemed to not be a deep as a friends so i took it out. the second time it made it to where i had just a thin piece of skin over my belly buttion ring. so i took it out. Did my body reject it. Is it safe to have it done again or will it do that. I heard using neosporin or oinment could of cause it n i did use that. So is that the reason? Plz answer only if ur not going to lecture me.

So I want to get a tattoo of a bluebird flying holding a chain with a cross and a ring on it in it's beak (the cross and ring belonged to my grandparents). I want it on my lower back but the thing is I already have a tattoo of a lily on the right side of my lower back so I don't know where to put the bird for it not to look awkward...

I just got my cartalige pierced 6 days ago and its a pinkinsh red and swollen. It doesn't hurt...it's just sore and there is no puss or discharge. Is it normal for it to be swollen, or should I go see my doctor? I don't think it's infected b/c I've been using the stuff that the parlor gave me to clean it...so whats up?

I just recently got a tattoo on my lower back last week and I've been using vitamin A+D ointment to relief the itch but it doesn't really work. I have some Sarna anti-itch steroid-free lotion with me but I dont' know if it's okay to use it or not. Any idea anyone?

My tattoo was done with really viberant blues and greens. However, the tattoo started to flake off and the colour underneath is really faded. im over 18 years old and i dont live with my parents anymore..ive talked to them about geting my tongue pierced and they wont let it happen so im going to end up doing it anyways...im goign to use a clear tongue ring until it heals, but i was wondering if anyone has it..is it clearly noticeable when you talk? or is it not that noticeable if you be careful a little?

just need to know the pro's and cons of toungue piercings because i might get one tomorow and im undecided. i'ved had ears,belly,eyebrow and nose piercings all at different times and i loved them but i couldn't have them all at once since i was only allowed one body piercing at a time. so yea back to the subject . pro's and cons? opinions on them?
