I'm 5'1, 92 pounds and going on 21 years old. I am not alarmed with my weight because I have always been like this all my life, meaning that it's pretty much in my genes. My latest BMI declared me underweight (2 points below the normal BMI of 18.5) but I want to express that I'm healthy and very energetic and I am not anorexic nor bulimic. I don't gorge on food at every chance I get, but maintain a steady and healthy intake.
I think if you feel that you're pretty much healthy and don't have eating disorders, your small weight and tiny frame doesn't really entail health problems.

I think you should try and at least gain 10 pounds but I know it can be hard. Try to eat three to four meals a day and snack through out the day. Be lazy and sit around that helps you gain fast! You are underweight for your height, you should be 100 pounds. Being underweight is unhealthy and it can cause kidney problems!

Very small person. 83 pound is a little light even for someone that short. Might look better with a few pounds.

The answer would depend on your age. If you are a thirteen year old girl, your weight is considered healthy. If you are an adult, you would be considered underweight. You can determine if you are at a healthy weight by calculating your Body Mass Index. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight. To find out more and to determine your own BMI, check out the Department of Health and Human Services website. This informative site offers BMI calculators for adults, children and teens.

depending on your frame (which i'm assuming is small) you should be between 95-100 pounds at your height..eat a lot of protein and do some light weight training so you put on good weight not fat

That is pretty light. My old girlfriend was "just" under 5' and weighed 96 lbs. She was VERY attractive.
