I had my belly button pierced twice the first time it seemed to not be a deep as a friends so i took it out. the second time it made it to where i had just a thin piece of skin over my belly buttion ring. so i took it out. Did my body reject it. Is it safe to have it done again or will it do that. I heard using neosporin or oinment could of cause it n i did use that. So is that the reason? Plz answer only if ur not going to lecture me.

Your Body Will Naturally Reject Any Surface Piercing. The Only Ones That Are Pretty Guarantied Not RI Reject Are Tongue, Ears And Nose. And Even Those Will Migrate Some. You Should Let It Heal Completely And Then If You Want To Re-Do It Go Behind The Scar Tissue.

Yes your body can reject a piercing.
At any time a piece of flesh is pierced and removed the area forms scar tissue.
By the sounds of things you didn't get it done at a piercing studio.
Yes its ok to re- pierce the area just make sure you go to a Tattoo shop to get it done and get them to get up underneath the scar tissue, that way the scaring wont be as noticeable because it will be covered by the captured ring.
Unfortunately piercings don't last forever, just remember they are not supposed to be there and the body has its own way of getting rid of foreign bodies and also skin loses elasticity, constant pulling with the movement of your body increases the chances of rejection.

Your body most likely rejected it and there are numerous factors that could have caused this to occur. Everything from poor placement, to poor anatomy to poor and improper care and cleaning could have done it or even something as simple as your body didn't like it.

Getting it redone is a shot in the dark; it might work, it might not but the more you re-pierce the area, the more scar tissue that exists the harder it is to re-pierce. Its really up to you, but a good piercer and good aftercare should keep rejection from happening. Good luck.

I had mine pierced twice, both grew out as well. Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything you can do. It doesn't really have to do with how you take care of it. I cleaned mine with saline solution, and they grew out. There's not really any harm in getting it done again. It may hurt more because of the scar tissue, but I think it will just grown out again. So I say get something else pierced, or save your money. I got my nose pierced, because those can't grow out, but things can still go wrong, like the keloid I now have on it.
I think I'm gonna stick with tattoos lol, mine healed with no problem, my body just doesn't like piercings.

Your body is always trying to reject foreign objects. Your body forms the build up of tissue around the edges of a piercing.

yes me and my cousin had our belly button pierced together mine heeled up and i had it for years now hers skin started out by drying then the whole started to thin out around the ring then one morning she said it just came out in her skin didn't even look like there was a ring there before it was pretty gross if you ask me
No offense though but to answer your question i think some people have keloids and their scars heal different from others i don't know the exact terminology for your condition nor hers but it is possible i have seen it

my eyebrow and belly ring have both pushed almost completely through. My body also pushes out tattoo ink.

yes it can but this usually only happens after you've had it for a long time... most likely when you had it done the second time they couldn't get through the scar tissue so they just pierced in front of it...I would not advise getting it done again, as they would have to go through the scar tissue which can be very painful, but if you do get it done again make sure you go to a professional & make sure to tell them that you have had it pierced twice before & ask their opinion.
