just need to know the pro's and cons of toungue piercings because i might get one tomorow and im undecided. i'ved had ears,belly,eyebrow and nose piercings all at different times and i loved them but i couldn't have them all at once since i was only allowed one body piercing at a time. so yea back to the subject . pro's and cons? opinions on them?

it doesn't hurt at all ...but i grew out mine.Make sure you don't swallow the bar cause then you'll need to go to hospital it can get stuck in your esophagus. i seriously swallowed a million balls!(lol)so make sure you make it tight.

Pros: Aesthetics (for those who enjoy piercings), fellatio pleasure for your partner, you can annoy people by clicking on different objects with your piercing, shock value, you can change ball colors to match outfits.
Cons: People will judge you, it may be assumed that you are trashy/slutty, it is harder to clean the tongue so you may have bad breath, you can crack your teeth and recede your gum lines, you can swollow the jewelery, you may never learn to talk without a lisp while it is in, if you don't go to a professional they could sever an artery and damage nerves.

i had my tongue peirced about 7 years ago...i took it out 2 weeks later!
i kept chomping down on the ball when i would chew my food, it thought i was going to crack my teeth.
also, it hurt for sometime, and it couldnm't really brush my tongue well to clean it...so my tongue got all white and stuff. it had to go!
but also, i tend to think that my body just doesn't handel peircings well...my nose was peirced for 3 months, and was constantly infected, no matter how much cleanser i put on it...and my ear get infected every now and then, and i've had them peirced for 20 years!

I personally think they look super trashy, plus when i see someone with one I always think what is the point..other than giving bjs which inturn makes you look like a slut.
Good Luck! I say get your lip pierced or a monroe!

Pros: Fashionable may attract the opposite sex!
Cons: Infection,high maintenance and may go out of style!

There is a main nerve that runs down the center of your tongue and if that nerve gets pierced it can actually paralyze your tongue! And once it's damaged there is no medical procedure to fix it.......I wouldn't do it!!!!!!!

my grand son 18, had so much trouble.The balls kept coming unscewed.He swallowed 2.that was enough for him.So if you do get it done,keep check on it being tight.

i personally think that if you already have all the peirced then thats enough you dont want to look tacky

your tongue will be swollen for a few days and you risk damaging your taste buds
