I live in Northern Illinois. We have been in the cold cold temps. and below zero wind chills for a week or more. But this problem has been going on for a long time with me. My hands are soooooo dry and my fingers crack open on the corners by the nail. I'm sure it's a combination of cold weather, the heat is on now and makes it dry in my house and I work with elderly people and am washing my hands alot. My hands have gotten so badly dry that they hurt. My skin actually hurts. They are so dry that anything I touch my dry hands and fingers sticks to it. Please help. I can't take much more of this dryness, cracking and very very sore hands and fingers. There has to be something I can do but I don't know what. I've bought and used all kinds of lotions and worn gloves to bed with lotion on my hands and this doesn't seem to be helping. This has become painful for me. Any ideas, help?

I've been wanting one for years, but I haven't told anyone that I want one yet.
Within this past week I went in to do consultations with two different studios and now I'm sort of doubting my decision because before it was just this kind of dream but now it's getting to be more of a reality.
I'm planning to get it done in January. But do I really want this?

I think we should have the option of making our avitars look a bit more like real people. While I'm not obese, I'm not skinny, either...nor do I want to be. Does anyone else wish we could "modify" the weight of our avitars to make them look more realistic?

I'd like to hear from women 16-50. Do you bathe once or more per day, every other day or even less? My new wife who I never lived with does not bathe every day and I am a little grossed out. Is this normal, she says it dries you out too much when you shower daily. I have only heard not to wash your hair everyday.

OK so here's the deal. I don't like dragons. I don't like the idea of putting oriental characters on me, because I'm white and have no oriental blood in me whatsoever. I'm part irish, so celtic tribal might be ok... but that seems a little played out. I don't like little girly things like hearts and butterflies. I don't want a tramp stamp. I'm 19. I like the idea of a tattoo, but I never seem to be able to figure out a design I'd like. I once wanted a very small (we're talking tiny) frog on the nape of my neck, but I outgrew that and it turns out they don't do tattoos that small anyway. Ideas, anyone? I understand that I ultimately have to pick something that means something to me, but I'm running short of ideas. And I've been through tons and tons of pictures on google searches, to no avail.

Well, my dog recently died..and i was thinking of buying a new one. I was going for a Husky or Shephered...but i believe they would be too big for my house...and my house doesn't even have a front or backyard! My mother suggested in buying a small breed, and i kinda didn't agree with her on it..i'm looking for a nice dog breed which is hypo-allergenic, or whatever, as long as it doesn't get people allergic...since my mom detests dogs 'inside' the house.

Do you think regular ambesol would numb the area around your navel so that you feel nothing when pierced? Just an idea....going to get mine done tonight and it will be a first...i have two holes in one ear and 4 in the other but it didn't hurt. I have pinched and pinched my belly button for days now to see just how much I can take....and I am not bothered yet. I also had my son with no pain meds and was in labor for 25 hours and i would have been shot in the leg but ...no biggy...so, is this gonna work or what?

Ok so I was wondering, I just had both upper ears pierced, and they are little gold hoops.. But Ive heard that studs are better (more comfortable)... I am not having trouble with them, except for the fact that they are really sore..(had them done 3 days ago).. In fact I cannot even tell they are in unless I bump them, and forget even sleeping on my sides.. Is it too soon to change the hoops to studs?? Or just leave them alone..
