They are not illegal unless you are referring to rules set by your school, work place or community. Certain religious communites might deem these as illegal but it is not illegal to have them in the United States. Plus if it was illegal most respectable tattoo parlors would not tattoo you there.

The only thing I've ever heard about it is that in some countries it's illegal because of the the veins on the backs of your hands.

the tattoos on your hands r not illegal .alot of people say it is. i had mine done about 10 years ago.

Because you wanted them there and knew they weren't illegal!
You probably are pretty sure you wont change your mind about them either.
Maybe you didn't know or care how some idiots are still prejudiced against tattoos!
I'm not bothered if you are covered in them personally but then I know lots of people who have them!! Some are very good friends or family!!

Tattoos and hands are legal last I checked...same would go for tattoos ON hands.

how can hands be illegal? and tattoos are not illegal there are certain states and counties that prohibit doing tattoos.

theyre not illegal but a lot of tattoo artists dont like to do them there, my hubby has got them everywhere, hands, fingers, head, neck, face, you name it he has it, lol, i personally think if you want a tattoo somewhere they shouldnt refuse you, whos body is it after all??????good luck with the tattoos

I didn't know it was illegal!
I know lots of people with tattoos on there hands! ( no offence but i don't think it looks very nice!! )
