Some states have laws where tattooing is illegal period. As far as tattooing certain parts goes... that seems a little insane! Why would one spot be ok and not the other?

Most tattoo artists i have come across dont mind hand or facial tattooz maybe thats because im so heavaly inked already.But as far as being illegal no chance its your body and your life do what you please with it.I hate stereotypes when it comes to being inked.Hand tattooz or facial tattooz can look very effective just look at the Moko tattooz done by the maori tribes.At the end of the day do what you will and never ever mind what other people think tattooz are all about freedom of the mind an outer soul in many cases so just do it dont regret it.Good Luck.

As I know a tattooist I can say its definately legal. He'd be out of business if it was illegal!
The only thing I would say is that some Employers would not like it!
If its really prominent especially. Some people are still prejudiced and associate tattoos with certain types!

Do you mean are illegal? Why take notice of what others say, the police have got better things to do than stop people for having tattoos

i have never heard of tattooed hands being illegal. tho, in most professions it is not acceptable to have hand tattoos. mostly because of public perception. and a lot of tattoo artist won't tattoo the hands because they know that people often change their minds about things and it is extremely difficult to hide or cover tattoos on the hand. the only people i personally know with hand tattoos are tattoo artists.

Tattoo on your hands have never been illegal they may not be allowed in school's etc but they are not illegal

Never heard that tattoos on hands would be illegal. I know some companies won't hire you if you have them, though!

I'm a tattooist and they are not illegal on the hands its just some tattooist are apposed to them as they cannot be hidden when it comes to jobs etc.

Tatoos were just legalized in Oklahoma. In most states tatooing is illegal for anyone under the age of 18. Maybe it is illegal in other countries?

I can see the police now ,going round arresting people for tattoo's on the hands.
