I've been wanting one for years, but I haven't told anyone that I want one yet.
Within this past week I went in to do consultations with two different studios and now I'm sort of doubting my decision because before it was just this kind of dream but now it's getting to be more of a reality.
I'm planning to get it done in January. But do I really want this?

I love tattoo s and have four. Each was a design that i had though about for years and not something i had just seen. When you go to the studios it s like being in a candy store, all those pictures may make you rashly change your mind.
I would say;
1 think hard and long. All because you have seen these people does not mean that you have to see them again in January. Don't feel pressured.
2 If you go ahead think of where you want it, and is the design suitable for where that is and for what you do for a living. I work in a jewellers and all mine are easily hidden by my uniform.
3 There is nothing worst than a highly visual butch, aggressive tattoo on a woman, especially when they're middle aged. However offensive a t-shirt is you can always take it off.
4 They hurt going on but even worst when trying to remove them. I ve seen some really nasty skin grafts and laser marks.

If it was a dream waiting a little longer won t hurt. Take a picture of your design and put it on your wall. If you still like it in a few months even a year get it done. If not you haven t wasted money and your don t have to go through getting it removed.

You need to ask yourself that question. However, if you have doubts, don't get it done. If you are just worried about pain or what people might think about it, then take your time and remember you are doing this for you.

Even the slightest doubt can make you regret and cringe when you see your tattoo. I would wait a while or find another design. A tattoo should be something you want your whole life and something you are proud to have, not something you kind of like and doubt you want.

If your asking us,.... then NO you don't really want it. A tattoo is FOREVER, so if your not sure don't do it.... I would just wait until the day you wake up and your like " I want it" Also I think you should get it in a more hidden area , since your kinda in doubt. I have a small little thing I designed, and I put it on my lower hip, no one even knows I have one until I show them, or I am wearing low low jeans.

Before you actually get it done i would maybe talk to a close friend about what your getting and where so they can tell you their opinions. Make sure its a tattoo that actually means something to you that you won't regret getting later, but hey, i say go for it!

I have two. They are painful when you get them, so think really, really hard about whether or not this is something you want to do. Remember, you will have this for the rest of your life, unless you pay to have it lasered off, so don't make this decision lightly. But also be aware, that once you get one, they are really addictive. In fact, I'm hoping to get #3 for B-day in January.
Good luck with your decision!!

Hello? Tat 4 lulu. I have a few tatoos and I love them. They are not in a place that can't be covered up but they are awesome. Start with a small design and put it somewhere on your body that won't stand out so much (like the small of your back).

What kind of design are you thinking about?

I'm the mother of 2 grown children and just started getting tats a few years ago.

If it's something you really want go for it, if you feel even in the slightest apprehensive don't. I ended up putting mine on my back so I could show it when I want and cenceal it at work. It's actually about 6in or so high. Check out my 360 page and see it :)

Its a personal choice and one that lasts a lifetime unless you want to pay mega bucks and go through the pain of laser removal. Make sure you really want it, if you have doubts which you do, I'd hold off.

Just think long term versus short term. Short term: you are going to be fulfiling one of your dreams. Think long term: can you not get your ideal job because of a tatoo? ust last month my girlfriend got married, and she had a horrible time trying to conceal a HUGE tatoo on her back. Loads of make up were used, and everyone was still able to see the dragon on her back... Then decide if you would rather go with the short term or the long term.
