i have mid-back curly hair that i straighten more than i used to, and i am not used to it. i don't like to blow-dry it, because it makes it too frizzy. i just braid it after i shower at night and then flat iron it with protective product in it in the morning. i tried to flip my head over and hairspray it, but it makes it gunky. how can i get sexy lift at the roots, kind of a sexy look...without the gunk or sticky feeling??

I have a really particular style that I want. I have long hair and I want it to be REALLY choppy so that when I straighten it, it's tons of different lengths. I always tell my hairdresser that I want a lot of layers, but it never comes out the way I want it to. Anybody have any suggestions other than just telling them I want lots of layers? Pics would be appreciated too.

I've been using permanent color, but I'm considering semi-permanent so it isn't so obvious when my roots start to show. Will the semi permanent give me the gray coverage I want?

I know its a dumb question, but I'm a black female who straightens her hair...my hair has became thinner from straightening it over time....if I shave my head..I won't have to straighten it...will that make it come back healthy and somewhat thicker?

I have really (really) long black hair. If I cut it short I'd have major poof. I have a dry scalp but the rest is really greasy (ew, I know.) It tangles SO easily. Please, what can I do? Pretty soon I'll end up like a lunch lady in a hair net. Please, for the sake of the public....

I know that usually you can't do anything exept wait for your hair to grow long and this may sound stupid but I want my hair to be longer that my EVIL step-sisters and my hair was longer than her's until the hair dresser cut it all off when I told her I wanted to keep my length. Now It's up to my shoulders and my step sisters is in the middle of her back. How can I make my hair grow long and fast!

You know micro's are very skinny braids. So if you know how to start single braids or if you know a webiste, please tell me. I use to know how but then I stopped so now I'VE FORGOTTEN!! I just need to know how to get the knot in the top of the hair (how to keep the hair together and from sliding down)

my mom dyes her hair a redish blonde, and the last time she did it, she had a severe headache in the middle of the night (roughly 8-10 hours after she dyed it). she said it started on the very top of her head and kind of generated out. it was so bad, she woke up and had to have a shower and clean her hair to make it stop. im just wondering wat happened.

Right now my husband uses an electric razor and has to shave his head EVERY morning. He has tried the Nair for men (even though it's not intended for use on the scalp) and it broke him out. We've thought about waxing, but even then he'd have to let his hair grow out long enough to wax first. Isn't there an easier way?!??
