Short... style it on top with a little gel. One of our asian buddies does his hair like this, and I think it's totally hot!

I would say a short crop is best, some people look better with a messier version of a crop, if you get it slightly longer, you can spike it as well.

You're asking for opinions when you should just go with what hairstyle you like best. I suggest mildly long and controllable, but not too long that it drapes over your eyes. Just make it suitable and don't worry about it!
