Theater & Acting - October 2007

It seems like there are no opportunities...we have a community theatre but the productions are pretty small scale. I played belle once in BATB at a musical theatre summer program in the city and i LOVED it
does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

What are my chances of getting a TV/screen acting job? No extra, but no big celeb.

I do hope I don't sound conceited (?):
I'm not going to go to an acting school. I probably won't be an actress all my life and don't plan on doing so. (I'm not willing to risk my life on it.) However, I simply LOVE acting/performing.
I cannot get an agent. I've taken an acting class at college before. I'm fifteen. I have some but not a lot of experience with acting on stage.

I live about twenty minutes east of Los Angeles.

I know the chance would be pretty thin, but if it's not zero, where could I find the open auditions?

I am a thirteen year old girl who is starting new vocal instruction classes at the end of the week. My new vocal teacher (who i have never met before so she has never heard my voice before) is probably going to want to hear me sing. What should I sing. I have an extremely wide range, but i prefer a high song so I can show her that I can hit high notes. What should I sing?

Much Ado About Nothing is considered to be a shakesperian comedy meaning that the tone and mood of the story is light rather than dark and tragic. in the story beatrice and benedick trade insults as a means of expressing their love while claudio and hero fall in and out of love throughout the play. but the play also contains many darker more tragic elements than a typical shakesperian comedy. In whats ways is this play tragic?

Does any one know when the auditions for twilight will be? Is it going to be a closed audition? and I know all of you will probably say no to this but do you think a 12 year old could pass for 17 how tall do you have to be to look 17 and lastly if a person is amazingly talented do you think a company will postpone the filming of a movie just to wait until that person gets to a certain age please help this audition really means a lot to me

Many of us would "like" to be in a movie or a show, etc. But we have no experience, no talent agents, no nothing. We're not even sure if we're that great actors/actresses, though everyone else keeps on telling us so. And even if we were to think we were great, it seems to risky to just jump out, get an agent and start going to auditions when you think you'll regret it later thinking, "god, I should have looked for a decent job/worked up with my grades then."

So how did the actors/actresses really get on their career? I know you need good theater roles around your belt, etc, but even those people start wishing to become TV/screen actors/actresses later.

For me, I'm really interested in acting and singing, but I know that it's very risky and would rather pursue another career. However, I would also very much like to do acting/singing as a secondary career. Or is that impossible?
