I once did an entire play i was uncomfortable with. It was an original work, and I had not had the opportunity to read it before the auditions. I had done original plays before, and always had the author there at most rehearsal (early on) to clarify things -- occasionally resulting in minor rewrites. This time, however, the author stayed away until opening night. The play was a mess. There were self-contradictions in story and character throughout and every time I asked the director, he would tell me he'd get back to me, but never did. But, I had agreed to take the lead, so I made the best of it that i could, and did the play. Now, if I can't read it first, I don't audition. Some mistakes you only make once.

The last thing I am is a ballet dancer, and as Merlin in Camelot I had a pas de due with Nimue as she charmed me and took me away. At the end of the routine, I had to spot her while she twirled and then pick her up over my head and run off stage with her. I am not a strong person and never was. Though she was small and she lept when I was to pick her up, I just barely could manage it as she spread her arms and laid out as I carried her off. Never did really manage it, and in one performace, I just barely got her head high and as she swept her arm back, she swept off my wig, which got a huge laugh and the wig lay there on the stage like a sleeping cat until intermission.

I've had to learn every step of the way to overcome things that made me uncomfortable. That's what the job is, pushing your boundaries. There are some things that I choose not to do though as a person. The job can hang then

In this one skit i did in high school in a performance speech class my character was completely infatuated with my partner. It was awkward because the guy and i didn't get along at all but i bucked up did the part and learned alot about acting from the experience and in the end you would never have known we were at odds the whole time.

Getting shot down at the end of a war play. I'm totally against war and guns and the whole play was so out of my element but I just did it and moved on because the show wasn't about my personal beliefs.

I've had to appear in my underwear a couple of times. Also didn't enjoy getting cold water dumped on me!
