Thanks to all.

I need to build the front view of the "Showboat" that is the bow and pilot house and the stairs. Need to have the captain at the wheel and three dancers on stairs on each side. This is for a production in New Zealand. We have heaps of material and paint but a wee budget. Just a photo of the front of a showboat used on the stage would be great.

Thanks again.

Do you have a decent budget? How about renting one from another theatre or a costume shop that also rents sets? Maybe you can even arrange a trade for use of other set pieces or costumes that you have or a preview performance of the show.

Here's a link to one set designer's info on what he did to build sets for Showboat: http://www.renaissancetheatre.net/sets/showboat.htm

good luck!

Which prop are you looking for? Are you looking for a prop as in properties which are used in shows, things like spectacles and hankerchiefs. Or are you looking to build a prop as in a propeller? Or are you perhaps talking about a set and not a prop at all?
