Is weight an important factor in getting a good acting job?
I need advice on how to memorize a script.
Where do I find auditions in New York for a person who is still under 18.

I am auditioning for my school play. We are doing Thornton Wilder's "Our Town." For the audition, the director would like to see two contrasting contemporary monologues, each under one minute. By contrasting, that could mean contrasting in age or gender or character type or socio-economic staus, etc. I am stuck when it comes to picking monologues, so please help. Also, any "Our Town" info would be helpful too.

I'm trying out for a play at my local theatre production company (its kind of a low budget place but they produce fabulous plays). I have to perform a 2 minute monologue as a male charachter (I am female). First problem:

I have two monologues in mind:

http://www.ispgroupinc.com/monologues/fr... (I think its too old for the charachter and I'm having troubles memorizing it ad acting as the character)

Problem 2:

I do not have a good monologue memory! I can memorize lines once I'm in the play really well but the monologues kill me! How can I memorize it properly? I have about a month left.

I'm still going to class, and I want to start auditioning for projects to build my resume. I think I'll use actoracces.com to submit for roles. Do you think it is smart to get headshots even though I want to sumbit for non paying roles? Will a snapshot pass for an audition?

Is it gonna be hard for me to make it in hollywood with a swedish/europien accent? But i dont think that you can hear my accent that much. I have heard from my english teachers and so that my english is really good and sound more american.

How can i fade away or hide my accent?

Ok so I am 15, and I really.. REally want to become an actor. By actor I dont mean a superstar like brad pitt, goerge clooney etc.
