Ok one of my friends thinks that she can act but she really can't!! How do I tell her??

Don't. I've seen people get better all of a sudden. She may too. I've also seen people who were terrible stay terrible for ten years. She may too. It's best to mind your own business.

I guess try and let her down easy.

Or try to focus on and emphasize something that she does really well so that she can at least feel a little better when you tell her she blows.

There's no point in lying to her or letting her think something else. Friends just don't do that to each other. Besides, she'd probably be more embarassed if you DIDN'T tell her and someone else did.

I wouldn't tell her. Just be a supporting friend and don't lie to her. If she asks you straight out "Can I act?" then you should respond truthfully in a sincere kind manner. If she doesn't ask you your opinion then don't tell her. She will find out from others later and life. The most important thing is to be a good friend.

Bad acting has never been a hindrance to an acting career.

Do not tell her. Let the people who watch her tell her.

y tell her? does she want it as a profession? if she does, leave it up to the auditors to tell her, then comfort if she fails and avoid fighting with this whole "u suck thing

if she does shows, wouldnt she be getting a lot of notes from a director? and if you encourage her to take the notes and keep working at it, then she'll probably improve...

you don't tell her immediately tell her but you have to tell her or if she performs on stage and you tell her she's good and she gets a bad review she will probably be mad you lied to her.

videotape her next performance show it to her she will see how bad she really is
